From Scrap to Bronze. Making bronze sculpture from scrap bronze metal
In my left hand is what I melted down to get what is in my right hand . A project completed at my own foundry in my Studio with James Hayes. Tnhe design is a commission for the Travellers Pride Award.

Bronze piece emerging from the mould at the Perfect Vision Studio
After the Bronze is poured the next step is to break it out of the investment mould. Here shown with last bits in white still to be removed with a wire brush. It lies in the removed material which is known as ludo.

6 out of 12 moulds just poured in bronze.
Looking down the cups of 6 moulds poured from recycled Bronze melted to 1200 degrees in our own furnace developed here in the Perfect Vision Studio.

The Writing is on The Wall
Project MOT interpret Rembrandt's Belshazzar's Feast where " mene mene tekel upharsin " is presented as "The Writing is on the wall". A modern insight into the feasting at the table whereby over indulgence is being portrayed through substance mis-use.
